“He came with an overload, he felt a tight hamstring.”
Liverpool published this update before the Manchester City match on 11 October. Iraola confirmed that a hamstring problem kept Szoboszlai out of that matchday squad after international duty.
The City absence is confirmed. His attempt to train did not establish readiness for that game, and the report gives no return date or GW7 selection commitment.
Our advice before GW7
Keep a playable alternative available and check Liverpool’s next full update before the GW7 deadline. Treat a return as unresolved rather than assuming the City absence applies to the next fixture.
